This program works best if everyone watching the DVD has a workbook. In fact, because we do not charge a licensing fee to show the DVD to multiple participants, it is a requirement that every participant have a workbook. We have had a few problems with schools purchasing or previewing our DVD and then just showing it to students/teachers without workbooks or watching it and re-teaching it. We are assuming when schools order the DVD/Workbook package, it is for preview purposes and that they will invest in the workbooks once they decide if our solution is something they are going to utilize.
This approach keeps the cost down for the school because we do not have to charge a licensing fee and gives the students the best possible experience as they watch the DVD. The workbook also serves as a valuable resource for follow up both at school and at home.
Since the workbooks are only $10.00, most schools host an on-site field trip to the “University of Study Smarts” and defer the cost to the parents or they include it in a book fee sometime during the school year. However, you may have access to a funding source like Title I, grants or already have it in your school budget. Once you decide on the solution, the finances are usually the easiest part to figure out.
Workbooks are not allowed to be copied or shared.
